OVERALL OBJECTIVES

Artistic
• Opening new windows of opportunity for experimentation, research and creation for Egyptian artists
-> taking over the public space
• Providing new channels for creation and artistic productions in Egypt
-> organising artistic residencies on a specific location
• Opening the project to international artistic input                                                                        -> French – German partnership

Cultural
• Strengthening contemporary artistic creation in Egypt
-> creating room for contemporary creation in the city
• Developing the awareness of the audience towards a new approach of the city and the surrounding environment
-> accompanying the audience

Social
• Establishing, reinforcing and moving the link between the artist and their city
-> accompanying the artists in their residency
• Raising the question of the relationsship between the artists and the Egyptian society
-> opening a debate and raising the awareness
• Accompanying a new type of audience : the circumstancial audience
-> putting in place specific awareness development actions for each artistic residency
